January 2016 Birchbox - Review

If you don't know already Birchbox is a monthly beauty subscription box service.  Each month you pay $10 and you are then shipped 5 beauty, grooming, and/or lifestyle samples that are personalized towards you.  Birchbox also has their own shop which you can use the points you accumulate from reviewing the products you get each month to purchase products you love or maybe to try something new.  For each product that you review you will receive 10 points and for every 100 points you get will equal to $10 in the Birchbox shop

This was the first product I received this month.  I was really excited to get this product since it works as a dry shampoo but also as a hairspray.  I thought it worked quite well, but the fragrance is so strong I could barely breathe when I sprayed it on my hair.  I definitely won't be purchasing the full-size of this which even if it didn't smell so strongly I still couldn't see myself buying this product considering it's $44 for the full-size.

This is the second product I received and I'm surprisingly happy with this one.  I don't usually care for lotion but considering it's freezing outside this product is perfect.  This product feels very moisturizing and isn't greasy. The price of the full-size isn't too bad either, for a 12oz bottle it's only $24.

I'm not a huge fan of supergoop and honestly this product was useless.  The tube was so small and it didn't help that most of that consisted of air.  I definitely won't purchase the full-size because I didn't even really get to try it out.  For 15ml this eye cream costs $45.

I haven't been able to try out this product yet, but I'm excited to.  I think fiber masks feel really weird but I do like masks and they usually make my skin feel very refreshed so this will be very nice to try.  For $14.50 you can get a set of 3 of these.

This was my sample choice this month and I was really excited to receive this because I was completely out of liquid liner.  This liner is great because it's super dark and does not move, unfortunately with one of my eyes being a bit hooded it will take me a bit getting used to the thickness of the applicator.  Below I have included swatches of the liner, a thick and thin line.  This product costs $16.

Overall I don't think this box was too bad.  Other than the eye cream I just wish the hairspray hadn't been so extremely strong and the box would have been even better.  If you'd love to join me in receiving Birchbox each month you can use my referral link by going HERE!
